Welcome to a brighter path forward. I can’t wait to meet you.

About Your Therapist

Hello, I’m Meredith Critelli, MSW, LCSW. I am dedicated to supporting children, teens, young adults, and families through life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, followed by a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

My practice is rooted in a trauma-informed approach, and I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD challenges, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, attachment challenges, parenting stress, trauma, communication and social skill difficulties. I integrate a variety of evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, IFS and Person-Centered Therapy to create a personalized and collaborative experience for each client.

Building genuine, trusting relationships is central to my work. I strive to provide a safe and welcoming space where clients feel understood and empowered. I also enjoy weaving clients’ interests into the therapeutic process to enhance engagement and connection.

I’ve worked in day treatment, school-based outpatient therapy and private practice. I’ve enjoyed all three settings, but knew I wanted to open my own practice to serve my community in a way that feels helpful and authentic to who I am.

Outside of my practice, I love spending time with my family, trying new recipes, and getting creative with my two young daughters.

Christian integration is available upon request.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a confidential, one-on-one process where you work with a licensed mental health professional to address personal challenges, develop coping strategies, and improve your overall well-being. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, therapy provides a safe and supportive environment tailored to your unique needs. Together, we explore your concerns, identify goals, and build practical skills to help you thrive.

Key features include evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness, personalized treatment plans, compassionate and nonjudgmental support, and a focus on your strengths and goals.

I work with ages 6 through 50 years old for individual therapy services. These sessions can be done either in-person, through teletherapy or a hybrid approach.

Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a supportive space to connect, learn, and grow with others facing similar challenges. I provide specialized groups for children, teens, parents, and adults. Children’s and teen groups focus on building social skills, emotional resilience, and confidence. Parenting groups offer guidance and support for family relationships and effective strategies. Process groups help adults explore personal growth and coping skills. Educational groups teach practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, and other concerns. All groups are led by a licensed professional and designed to foster a safe and confidential environment.

I design groups that are requested by client’s or the community. If you feel passionate about a specific topic that you feel may benefit others as well, please tell me about it.
